Dr.Muhammad Amjid Saqib is the founder and executive director of Akhuwat the world's largest Islamic microfinance organization. Akhuwat is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 2001 on the Islamic principle of Mawakhat or solidarity. Now this organization has successfully disturbed 164.84 billion in interest-free loans, helping over a 5.2million families across Pakistan. Amongst other projects, Akhuwat has also launched Pakistan's first free university Akhuwat college which is open to talented students from across Pakistan, as admission is based on merit. It is the luck of our country that we have Dr.Amjad Saqib among us working for the progress and capacity building of our society. He has the biggest goal he wants to do something remarkable for the country. He always gets success in his life because he is working just for needy people in this country. It's our pride that we have such a great personality with us. On 23rd March 2010, he was honored with Sitara E Imtiaz by the president of the Islamic Republic and gratuitous efforts put forth by Dr.Amjad towards the future of Pakistan.
